We have been studying 'The Arrival' by Shaun Tan. This is a really lovely book about arriving in a strange place and so far you have:
- Read the whole story
- Begun to explore how we can 'read' a book without words
- Examined how a writer can structure description by 'zooming in' and 'zooming out'
On Wednesday 26th Sept you designed your own creature.
HW that is due on Friday 28th Sept is to:
• Find an example of a description of someone arriving at a new place. This could be from a novel or a non-fiction book.
• Bring this in (or print it out if it is on the internet).
• It only needs to be ONE paragraph in length!
